About Me
My name is Leslye Lane, and I have been teaching for 11 years. I am a native Memphian and received my Master's and Doctorate degrees from the University of Memphis. I have taught kindergarten through third grade and have loved different things about each age.
I became a teacher so that I could impact the lives of our children and instill in them a love for discovery, questioning, discussion, and knowledge. I embrace a growth mindset approach to learning and encourage my children to take risks, make mistakes, and keep trying. Being a part of my students' growth is the most rewarding thing about teaching. I cherish the opportunity to watch each child conquer new skills and develop socially within our community. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time with my family - we love to travel and adventure off the beaten path. We love animals with all of our hearts, and we volunteer to help rescue animals. I also love to run and participate in many races in and around country. |
